Important information

Opening and teaching hours

The studios in Hohensalzburg Fortress are open Monday–Friday, 9.00 am–8 pm and Saturday 9.00 am–1 pm.

Teaching hours, from Monday to Friday, are arranged in each class. Courses begin on the first day at 10 am in the stated location, and conclude with a final exhibition on the last Friday. The last Saturday of each course is devoted to clearing and tidying the studio (by 1 pm).

The office in Hohensalzburg Fortress is open Monday–Friday from 9.30 am–5 pm. Please note that our office in Michael-Pacher-Strasse 27 will be closed for the duration of the courses.

 
Student passes

Unless otherwise stated, student passes, which entitle you to take part in a course, should be collected at the start of the course from the office in Hohensalzburg Fortress. The student pass also allows you reduced or free admission to various museums in Salzburg.

Materials

Equipment belonging to the Summer Academy (easels, modelling stands, lockers, chairs and stools) is on loan to the students. Tools, materials and working clothes should be provided by the students themselves (see individual course descriptions).
Please note that the studios in the fortress can be reached only on foot or by the funicular, which has limited room for materials. By arrangement with our technicians, a goods lift is available for transport of materials.
