Opening hours

The studios in Hohensalzburg Fortress are open Monday – Friday, 9.30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 9.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The studios in the Alte Saline in Hallein are open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. The offices are open Monday – Friday, 9.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In both locations, teaching hours are Monday–Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Please note that our office in Franziskanergasse 5 a will be closed for the duration of the courses; telephone calls will be rerouted to us.

Student passes

Student passes, which entitle you to take part in a course, should be collected at the offices in the Fortress or the Alte Saline in Hallein. The student pass also allows you reduced or free admission to various museums in Salzburg and Hallein.

Materials

Equipment belonging to the Summer Academy (easels, modelling stands, drawing-boards, lockers, chairs and stools) is on loan to the students. Tools, materials and working clothes should be provided by the students themselves (see individual course descriptions).

Please note that the studios in the Fortress can be reached only on foot or by the funicular, which has limited room for materials. By arrangement with our technicians, a goods lift is available for transport of materials.

Shop

A shop for the sale of artists’ materials will be open by Ivo Haas for Summer Academy students in the Fortress and the Alte Saline Hallein.

Open days

Usually on the Friday before the end of each course, a public presentation of the students’ works is organised in consultation with the teacher.
